This is a copy of the 1954 Thanksgiving newsletter for the Park Avenue United Methodist Church. The major focus of the newsletter is a description of a recent building purchase, the Parr Franconia warehouse located just outside Washington, D.C. The article discusses the thought process behind the purchase, the future plans for the building in regards to Church income, and addresses concerns of some of the church members in regards to the purchase. Following the article on the Parr Franconia purchase is an update on the Church's ownership of an apartment building on Park Avenue and introduces the newly appointed trustees. Pages 8-10 of the newsletter review the history of the Church since its founding in 1837. The final section of the newsletter discusses the success of the recent World Council of Churches Assembly, including participants from 179 different churches. It closes with a copy of "Three Roads to Paradise".
